Job Description:

Raritan Valley Community College is accepting resumes for a Part-Time Internship Development Specialist for the Human Services/Pre-Social Work program. Under the direction of the Human Services/Pre-Social Work Coordinator, the goal of this position will be to develop field sites to meet the growing demand for human service and substance abuse counseling interns. Each year a minimum of 25 students are in need of field placements to complete their certificate and AS degree requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1.Contact all sites utilized in the past 10 years and secure student placement partnerships ensuring completion of affiliation agreements, safety policy compliance, and registration via employer portal with Career Services.

2. Establish new partnerships with substance abuse and county government with the highest potential for immediate employment.

3. Establish field placements for students for Spring and Summer 2023 in collaboration with faculty field seminar instructor.

4. Develop a current and easily accessible catalog of internship opportunities for students enrolled in the Certificate and Certificate of Completion in Human Services, the Certificate in Chemical Dependency, and the A.S. degree in Human Services/Pre-Social Work.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Social Work is required; Master's degree in Social Work preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Availability to work 15 hours per week.
