Description

The Learning Facilitation Professional 2 (LFP2) plans, coordinates, conducts or facilitates learning experiences for Humana Military associates and/or external audiences. The LFP2 creates an environment that is conducive to learning and exchanging information, engages the learner, and produces the desired outcomes. They monitor training personnel records to ensure that employees have met all company training requirements for company, quality, and regulatory compliance.

The LFP2 provides guidance and mentoring to associates enrolled in training programs through daily observations to ensure content understanding and conducts final course evaluations to ensure effectiveness of training programs. The LFP2 will also note any recommended changes needed for clarity and or improvement in course content. They will consult with internal business partners to match organizational needs with the appropriate learning solutions. By assessing learning needs, delivering learning solutions, and selecting appropriate media for delivery to include online tools or content, as well as evaluate the relevance of online resources to complement the facilitated experience, the LFP2 will contribute to building organizational capability and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

The LFP2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action. They understand department, segment and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. They follow established guidelines/procedures, make decisions regarding their own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, requires minimal direction and receives guidance as needed.


Implement, execute and facilitate learning experiences using Adult Learning Theory best practices and principles
Consult with applicable business area regarding course/facilitation needs
Customize learning experiences to meet business needs
Update associates on changing processes and support proficiency development
Conduct evaluations to ensure program effectiveness, making/recommending modifications as necessary
Maintain functional proficiency in content areas for which you are delivering learning experiences.
Work collaboratively with design and consulting teams as a subject matter expert to assist with development of assessments, activities and participant materials.
Receive feedback professionally and respond accordingly in a positive, productive and, as needed, proactive way that produces a learning experience that meets the customers' needs
Partner collaboratively and cohesively within and across teams to gather information and create customized solutions in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders and reviews
Conduct continuous learning/research from internal and external master trainers and incorporate facilitation best practices into learning solution delivery


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES


85% Facilitate learning experiences which use the appropriate delivery methods, techniques and best practices to engage participants.
5% Consult with internal business partners to deliver learning solutions customized to meet the identified needs, grounded in adult learning theory and utilizing industry best practices.
5% Partner with the learning design team as a subject matter expert to assist with development of assessments, activities, and participant materials, and perform maintenance on assigned programs and curricula.
5% Evaluate the impact of learning experiences on individuals, as well as the organization, and continuously improve the learning experience as needed.

Required Qualifications


2 years of training and/or adult education/learning development experience
Strong facilitation skills and work experience
Foundational knowledge and understanding of Adult Learning Theory and principles
Ability to build strong internal relationships
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt and flex with business needs
Experience using a wide variety of tools and methods to effectively facilitate to a broad audience in a variety of settings
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Our Department of Defense Contract requires U.S. citizenship for this position


Work at Home/Remote Requirements


WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information


Preferred Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in Learning and Performance, Education, Performance Consulting, Industrial/Organizational Development, HR, Business Administration, other related field
Understanding of curriculum design
Enterprise WebEx or Zoom experience (Facilitating virtual training classes)
Experience managing projects or processes
Social Worker, Licensed Therapist, Registered Nurse or other clinical training experience
Diverse facilitation background training clinical (Nurses, Social Workers etc..) and/or non-clinical positions to include customer service representatives, administrative, other professional level positions
Training program development experience in the field of TRICARE, service, managed care, or military setting
