Description

The Principal Quality Leader will lead testing and quality collaboration between Business and IT, guiding test strategies and tools and assure adherence to quality standards. Serves as point of contact for all communications related to Quality Engineering Initiatives, involving roadmaps, quality maturity, status, risks, blockers, achievements throughout the delivery lifecycle.

This is a remote opportunity.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

-Collaborate with stakeholders for Domain Software Quality to implement:


Domain Level Quality Strategy & Roadmaps
Measure Performance on Quality Initiatives; Develop robust analytics to drive quality improvements
Evangelize Best Practices & Process Adoption
Reduce Cross-Functional Barriers & Establish Business Collaboration


-Lead large-scale software testing and quality infrastructure programs, preferably with a combination of on prem, hybrid and Cloud Environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).

-Improve Quality Operations while maintaining ongoing quality processes

-Manage and develop the talent on their team, including engagement, well-being, --and IDP creation, refining, and execution, with the goal of building and maintaining a high-performing team.

-Collaborate with leaders across Business and IT

-Being a positive change agent for popular and unpopular change.

-Manage budgets for their team (operating and subarea) and forecasting.

-Define, track, and report delivery commitments, including description, date, and dependencies, to the project managers and other stakeholders

-Remain current with industry and technology trends that impact their domain as well as the future direction of associated technologies

Required Qualifications


Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
10 years technical experience with a proven record of success in leading a large-scale software testing and quality programs
5 years of experience in Agile methodology with DevOps knowledge
Strong leader who has successfully led quality maturity in functional, automation, performance capabilities, and other non-functional disciplines.
Strong background in project management methodology, including schedule, scope, issue and risk management experience, change management, strategic planning and analysis.
Track record of identifying, cultivating, and motivating talent. Proven ability to attract top talent from inside and outside of an organization to build high-performing teams
Deep expertise in using analytics to inform strategic decisions and to improve operational performance
Working knowledge of quality frameworks, tools and solutions
Current or recent experience in a large, highly matrixed company (i.e., Fortune 250), with proven ability to influence leaders and key stakeholders in such an environment
Excellent oral and written communications skills at all organizational levels, including the ability to skillfully convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences
The polish, poise, and executive presence that will ensure effective interaction with senior and executive level audiences
Highly collaborative mindset and excellent relationship-building skills, including the ability to engage many diverse stakeholders and SMEs and win their co-ownership in the outcome
In-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across segments and/or enterprise-wide.
Advanced IT knowledge providing subject matter expertise across critical components of business and technology domains (e.g. enterprise risk and compliance, data management and governance, information protection, applications, enterprise architecture, and quality)
