Are you interested in expanding your knowledge and influence with additional mainframe related governance tasks, including the evaluation of impact, risk, and scheduling of all changes to the mainframe environment, and actively participating as a team member with other governance leads. You will help to create new processes and procedures for controlling demand management and make recommendations for modifying existing processes as needed. As a Lead member of our Infrastructure Services Governance team, you will work closely with our Managed Services provider and internal application engineering organization for mainframe storage responsibilities and activities.

The Lead, Mainframe Storage Management ensures that capacity workload modeling, throughput, and availability analysis is performed for the mainframe storage environments. Serves as a subject matter expert to application development, systems administration and engineering and other technical staff in planning the resource requirements for systems under development. Works closely with Managed Services personnel in developing, maintaining, recommending, documents and supports tools and backend utilities to provide storage capacity planning management. Facilitates the development of policies to ensure that existing storage capacity is being used as efficiently as possible. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Required Qualifications


8 or more years of technical experience with mainframe storage technologies
Working knowledge of SAN, DWDM circuits, data replication, storage class management
Familiarity with Data Center Operations
Understanding of data protection technologies and processes
Disaster Recovery methodologies, and RPO
1 or more years of project leadership experience
Experience integrating new technologies with existing technologies
Experience implementing technologies with enterprise-wide impact
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Must be a US citizen and eligible to receive government clearanc e


Preferred Qualifications


Bachelors Degree
Familiarity with Agile methodologies
Healthcare industry experience
Masters degree
Experience managing major projects from end to end


Required Qualifications

8 or more years of technical experience
2 or more years of project leadership experience
Corporate IT experience with general networking and server knowledge
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Access
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences


Preferred Qualifications


Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
CompTIA Network Cisco CCNA or CCENT


Additional Information
