Description

The Manager, STARS Improvement develops, implements, and manages oversight of the company's Medicare Stars Program. This position will manage the Stars improvement team.

Responsibilities

The Manager, STARS Improvement develops the programs and then reviews and communicates results of those programs designed to increase the plan quality and partners with leaders regarding implementation planning. This position requires cross departmental collaboration, and conducts briefings and area meetings while maintaining frequent contact with other managers across the department.


Manages 8-10 Star Professionals
Supports and assists in Stars improvement content and design
Support all Stars initiatives and projects
Conducts routine assessments of Star Professionals to determine strengths and opportunities
Maintains collaborative relationships with Provider Engagement, Risk Adjustment, and Clinical Teams
Articulating and modeling desired culture attributes
Serves as liaison between Stars team and corporate quality team

Required Qualifications


2 years of management experience
Prior Medicare experience
Knowledge of HEDIS/Stars and CMS quality measures
Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting healthcare data and trends
Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong attention to detail and focus on process and quality
Excellent communication skills and presentation skills
Ability to operate under tight deadlines
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences


Preferred Qualifications


Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health Care or a related field
Master's Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration or a related field
Progressive experience in the health solutions industry
Prior managed care experience
Proven organizational and prioritization skills and ability to collaborate with multiple departments
PMP certification


Additional Information

This candidate must be located on the East Coast.

Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. All Humana associates approved for the Home or Hybrid Home/Office work styles are required to self-provide wireless, wired cable or DSL access to the internet at the connectivity speeds required by the company to successfully perform their job with the exception of associates who live or work from home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota. To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:


At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
