In this Inpatient Social Work position, you will provide social work interventions for Medical Center patients and family needs. This is a per diem position working variable days Monday - Sunday 8:00a-4:30p

Coordinate discharge plans and/or care plans for in/outpatients, including developing plans for ongoing treatment through services and agencies

Perform a psycho/social assessment for continuity of care planning for in/outpatients

Provide short-term adjustment counseling to assist with emotional, social, and economic stresses of illness and disability.

Masters of Social Work from an accredited college or university is required.

Registration with the state of Washington as either a Licensed Social Work Associate (LSWAIC), Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Social Work Associate Advanced (LSWAA) or Social Work Advanced (LISW)

May consider an Agency Affiliated Counselor with the expectation of active pursuit of their Social Work Licensure.

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Working knowledge of individual and family dynamics and the ability to perform psycho/social assessments

Understanding of systems and how to work within systems

Understanding of the impact and implications of disease and the course of disease
