Description
The Marketing Planning and Innovation Advisor is responsible for setting and maintaining a strategic vision and roadmap for Retail Marketing at Humana, based on enterprise needs and insights, current enterprise capabilities, business strategy, and brand purpose and industry trends.
They will partner with other marketing functions and non-marketing stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes, negotiate prioritization, align transformational strategies and drive implementation of best practices and modern marketing techniques.
In addition, this incumbent will lead the strategic planning function for Retail Marketing and maintain oversight of the integrated marketing plan across the year. The position reports directly to the Vice President of Retail Marketing.
Responsibilities
About Humana Retail Marketing
The team is responsible for marketing a range of health care plans including individual and group Medicare, Medicare Supplement and Medicaid to support the Retail business, which generates $50Bn in annual revenue. The Retail Marketing team's focus is on the end-to-end marketing strategy for consumers and agents, working closely with Humana's Retail business segment and other teams to ensure that acquisition, member onboarding, education and retention are closely integrated in a comprehensive marketing approach.
In this role you will:
Deliver strategies and recommend plans that connect overall corporate growth and business objectives with marketing initiatives and programs
Develop and oversee progress, prioritization and financials for the retail marketing modernization roadmap inclusive of strategy, process and capability transformation
Drive collaboration across retail marketing and enterprise partners to ensure alignment; articulate priorities; define and track OKRs, operational scorecards and budgets
Own and facilitate the strategic planning process for open enrollment period, annual enrollment period and rest-of-year; manage the integrated marketing plan across acquisition and member marketing
Lead the continued evolution of the operational model through deep understanding of the retail marketing value proposition, strategic priorities and need to win in a deeply competitive marketplace
Develop all content and presentations for executive updates and Retail Marketing forums
Manage staff meetings, review of the strategic roadmap, business reviews, and key organizational initiatives
Support change management through setting direction and urgency, building a coalition of support, communicating widely and facilitating implementation of successful change actions
Incubate new ideas to ensure the ongoing advancement of Retail marketing, such as new agile ways of working and consumer experience enhancements
Build a best-in-class marketing planning function, enabling ongoing innovation and partnership, and well-orchestrated coordination and management with enterprise initiatives
Required Qualifications
Excellent strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to think big and bridge the strategic vision with the tactical delivery and drive consensus accordingly
Data-driven mindset; Quickly assimilates new information and grasps new concepts; strong financial acumen and ability to synthesize and communicate insights and business performance
Strong familiarity with modern marketing and organizational practices (e.g., omni-channel experiences, consumer-driven journey design, personalization, agile working methods,)
Cultivates and maintains a broad network of collaborative relationships across an enterprise, allowing quick navigation to get information, guidance, or to clear the path for new initiatives in a large organization
Expert in general management knowledge and skills such as departmental goal setting, planning, budgeting and results management
Excellent written and oral communication skills; Significant experience developing executive level presentations and building compelling stories to influence change
Outstanding project management and organizational skills
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Management or a related field is required
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or other advanced degree
Consulting background a plus, but not required
