The Activity Coordinator 1 ensures the day-to-day operations of the Wellness Center meets participant needs. The Activity Coordinator 1 work assignments are often straightforward and of moderate complexity.

The Activity Coordinator 1 schedules the Wellness Center meeting rooms and fitness rooms for pre-programmed classes, activities and/or events. Plans, promotes and coordinates programs to provide members with a variety fitness activities. Responsible for greeting patients, verifying insurance coverage and eligibility, reviewing new patient registration, and entering new patient information into the computer system at an outpatient care site. Understands own work area professional concepts/standards, regulations, strategies and operating standards. Makes decisions regarding own work approach/priorities, and follows direction. Work is managed and often guided by precedent and/or documented procedures/regulations/professional standards with some interpretation.
Job Functions:
Schedules the Wellness Center meeting rooms and fitness rooms for pre-programmed classes, activities and/or events.
Inform patients and staff of all activities by verbal and written communication.
Give center tours, which inspire and excite potential new members.
Assist with planning and implementing programs consistent with patient needs to promote socialization, educational opportunities, raise spirits, and entertain.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year in a previous administrative role
A valid driver license and dependable transportation necessary
Experience in a patient facing role involving structured and planned activities
Computer skills -including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
High school degree or equivalent
Previous work with vulnerable adults or the geriatric population
Nutrition knowledge
2 - 3 years of experience as a Personal Trainer and/or performing wellness and recreational activities
Working hours
: Monday to Friday 8AM-5PM
