Our established assisted living community in Buhl, MN is seeking candidates for a Life Enrichment\/Activities Coordinator to join our team.
This position is full-time and primarily day time hours M-F, with flexibility to meet the needs of our events. May require some evenings and weekend hours for special events and activities.
WAGE: Starting at $18\/hour
POSITION SUMMARY: This position will be responsible for coordinating and conducting activities and program events. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Responsible for calendar creation that is creative
Gathering social history from residents
Connecting residents with similar interests
Encouraging participation of activities

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates must be hardworking and dedicated to provide an exceptional customer service experience
Experience with life enrichment, recreational therapy, and\/or activities in assisted living required
Experience with Memory Care is beneficial
Ability to maintain excellent interpersonal and cooperative relationships with management, staff, residents and residents' family
Candidates will be subject to a criminal background study
Recreational Therapy degree preferred
Ability to plan, organize, and accurately follow through on work activities to meet deadlines as well as to work independently with a minimum amount of direction and\/or supervision

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to stand, speak, utilize both hands with repetitive movements, for long periods of time
Ability to listen and communicate clearly, fluently and diplomatically orally and in writing in the English language
Ability to bend and stoop using good body mechanics
Ability to push\/pull\/lift up to and in addition of 50 lbs. on occasion
