Description
The Process Improvement Lead analyzes, and measures the effectiveness of existing business processes and develops sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable business process improvements. The Process Improvement Lead works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
Responsibilities
The successful Process Improvement Lead will analyze and measure the effectiveness of current care management programs/initiatives to proactively identify develop sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable process improvements. They will apply their in-depth and broad knowledge to the process research best practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data as well as advise executives on the development of functional strategies on matters of significance. They will frequently take full ownership of complex assignments. They will lead and participate in efforts to design innovative and strategic business processes to create a sustainable competitive advantage and deliver administrative efficiencies as well as use independent judgment on analysis of variable factors allowing for determination of a course of action. Process Improvement Leads make recommendations to management as well as develop and maintain positive relationships working closely with Humana Government Business (HGB) directors, managers, SME's and other key partners. Competency to work independently at the most advanced level across multiple areas is a must. The ability to communicate in a clear, timely, accurate and meaningful manner is required. They are to provide project and program coordination to guide the implementation of new processes and process modifications; assist with change management and to minimize disruption and maximize impact. The Process Improvement Lead understands requirements in the broadest context of business problems and opportunities, and recommends solutions to enable innovative delivery of HGB's value proposition.
Key Accountabilities -
Proactively identifies improvement opportunities based on industry and competitive trends along with analysis of current processes and barriers.
Leads the design of innovative business processes and create sustainable competitive advantage and administrative efficiencies.
Provides analysis to major projects and process improvement efforts. Develops and manages project plans for medical management large scale projects. Assures process documentation meets current and future requirements and supports the successful implementation of business innovation.
Partners with executive leadership and other team members to create quality and value based offerings for our government customers.
Guides project and program implementation efforts and manages change to assure expected results are achieved.
Required Qualifications
Our Department of Defense Contract requires U.S. citizenship for this position
Successfully receive interim approval for government security clearance (eQIP - Electronic Questionnaire for Investigation)
Bachelor's degree
8 years of managed care experience
5 years of process improvement experience
Broad understanding of information systems and interactions with business operations
Ability to work on and integrate results of multiple complex projects with tight deadlines
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
Ability to think critically, strategically and to problem solve
Able to apply knowledge of new technology and business management concepts to improve operations
Ability to design highly creative and innovative approaches to problems
Proficiency with MS Office
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate degree
5 years of experience with TRICARE
Experience with Visio and Project
Experience in a clinical setting
PMP, CBAP, or CCP certification
