Description
The Supervisor, Health Information Management ensures data integrity for claims errors. The Supervisor, Health Information Management works within thorough, prescribed guidelines and procedures; uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors to solve basic problems; collaborates with management and top professionals/specialists in selection of methods, techniques, and analytical approach.
Responsibilities
The Supervisor, Health Information Management ensures data integrity for medical claims transactions. The Supervisor, Health Information Management works within prescribed guidelines and procedures; uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors to solve basic problems; collaborates with management and top professionals/specialists in selection of methods, techniques, and analytical approach Supervises a group of 10-15 technical associates; coordinates and provides day-to-day oversight to associates. Ensures consistency in execution across team. Holds team members accountable for following established policies.
Assists in developing business processes to ensure successful submission and reconciliation of encounter submissions to Medicaid/Medicare.
Ensures encounter submissions meet or exceed all compliance standards via analysis of data, and develops tools to enhance the encounter acceptance rate by Medicaid/Medicare.
Identifies long term improvements of encounter submission processes.
Performs escalated or more complex work of a similar nature.
Required Qualifications
1 years direct OR indirect leadership experience
Experience with analyzing and visualizing large data sets and presenting information to leaders
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail
Self-starter, ability to work independently
Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree
CAS Auditing, Claims Adjudication or other Payer Platform Experience
Supervisory experience, having direct reports
Prior experience in a fast paced insurance or health care setting
Prior demonstrated experience with project management
Prior experience with Medicare and Medicaid programs
Additional Information
This position is located at the Humana Waterfront facility in Louisville, KY but will temporarily be working remote.
