Position Summary:

This individual is responsible for the safe operation of sophisticated medical equipment to record sleep/wake physiology and performing diagnostic and therapeutic polysomnography in accordance with physician orders and organizational policies and procedures. This is a technical position functioning independently with limited supervision. Work situations require extensive knowledge and the application of advanced expertise in the field of sleep disorders, and sound clinical judgments, actions, and decision making regarding unusual patient behavior, i.e. seizure activity, life threatening cardiac and respiratory abnormalities.

Minimum Requirements:

One year polysomnographic technology experience preferred.

Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Polysomnographic training or Respiratory Therapy training or EEG Technology; or Bachelors degree in Health-related science or psychology; or combination of education and experience in a related field. CPR Certification.
