The Virtual Care Associate Director for Connected Devices and Packaging will develop and execute Best Buy Health’s Virtual Care device and packaging strategy, inclusive of device selection, packaging design, kitting, and quality and regulatory management. This leader is ultimately responsible for delivering the right device and packaging experiences at the right cost and timing to meet the needs of our customers and support the offering strategy and roadmap, while ensuring we are compliant with applicable regulatory requirements. The scope of this role offer variety as it extends from ideation to strategy development and through implementation.

This leader will be an expert in developing comprehensive device and packaging portfolio strategies for Health use cases, as well as creating procedures for handling regulated medical and non-regulated devices through the supply chain. This person will also be responsible for leading quality and regulatory management processes and assisting with internal and external agency audits.

What will you do?

Strategy Development

Develop, communicate and deploy strategy for devices and packaging across Virtual Care offerings

Be an established expert in Virtual Care devices, including a deep understanding of the device capabilities, workflows and applications

Define requirements for devices and packaging, based on offering needs and quality and regulatory considerations, with a focus on customer experience

Determine the priority of device features/cost/time-to-market trade-offs

Sourcing and Vendor Relationship and Performance Management

Develop sourcing strategy for Virtual Care devices portfolio, including assessment of internal and external options based on offering strategy and roadmap

Manage vendor relationships, including leading negotiations and quality management

Maximize profitability through management of all cost drivers and device lifecycle management

Quality and Regulatory Management

Oversee quality management for medical-grade regulated and non-regulated devices across Virtual Care

Partner with Health Quality and Regulatory team to ensure all applicable regulations are being followed

Partner with device vendors on experience, testing, and claims, as applicable

Manage internal teams and third-party agencies in executing packaging, documentation, marketing related activities, potential legal resolutions, etc. for Virtual Care devices

Ensure accurate and effective consumer messaging on devices packaging and documentation

Forecasting and Purchasing

Lead device forecasting and purchasing strategies and processes in partnership with key internal and external partners

Work with vendors and internal partners to create contingency plans

Cross-Functional Leadership

Partner with a team of functional experts across the enterprise to maximize opportunities and minimize risks associated with devices

Influence without authority and manage upward and across peer groups

Communicate and collaborate across multiple teams and levels

We prefer this person works in Minneapolis, San Diego or Boston; however, other locations will be considered.

Minimum Requirements:

8 years in Healthcare business experience, preferably 5 years in Digital Health, Virtual Care or related domains

5 years with FDA-regulated medical devices, including labeling and packaging

3 years product management or product marketing

3 years vendor management and negotiation

3 years cross-functional leadership and collaboration

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to lead and influence people, including without direct authority

Proven financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgeting processes

Excellent communication skills, including a proven history of relationship building, diplomacy, and negotiation used to direct, persuade and influence others

Ability to lead through complexity and ambiguity

Ability to deliver strategic and tactical work
