Typical Pharmacy Technician Opportunities:
The Clinical Programs Pharmacy Technician oversees medication therapy, strategy on comprehensive medication reviews, and prescription drug optimization in cases where patients are taking multiple medications. Drives health awareness with patients through Rx Education and targeted quarterly campaigns. Places outbound calls to confirm patients are taking drugs and provides counseling.
The Consultative Clinical Services Pharmacy Technician addresses questions related to specific assigned area and assists with medication research. Triages calls that require consultation with a pharmacist. Makes outbound calls to patients to offer medication therapy management programs and schedules medication review sessions with consultative pharmacists.
The Dr. Call Phones Pharmacy Technician is responsible for researching and updating clarifications and denials on patient profiles. Also, responsible for making or taking phones calls to and from providers and patients.
The Mail Operations Pharmacy Technician ensures inventory levels are adequate for dispensing by working with inventory supply team.
The Pharmacy Technicians work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction. Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.
Required Qualifications
Must have an active Pharmacy Technician or Tech in Training license in Arizona
Must be able to become certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
Experience as a Pharmacy Technician/Pharmacy Technician in Training OR call center experience in a pharmacy or related call center setting
Excellent communication skills
Experience using multiple computer applications simultaneously
A positive, proactive attitude with a passion for customer service
High School diploma or GED
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual in Spanish
Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred
Mail Order Pharmacy or Retail Pharmacy experience
Experience working with insurance plans and Medicare

Work-At-Home Requirements
Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
