Description
The Senior Learning Design Professional uses instructional design, cognitive psychology, and adult learning theory to determine the appropriate solution to a knowledge or performance gap. The Senior Learning Design Professional work assignments involve moderate to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
The Senior Learning Design Professional analyzes content, designs solutions, develops content, implements learning solutions, and evaluates program effectiveness through eLearning. Ensures courses are current and relevant to training needs. Uses data analytics to track and examine training programs, the effectiveness of programs, and testing (proficiency, process, and design) to improve job performance. Uses collaborative tools and social media to facilitate learning. Plans, organizes, and develops learning solutions and materials to meet specific training needs. Consults with clients by conducting needs analysis and developing learning solutions which align with department strategies. Makes decisions on moderate to complex issues regarding technical approach for projects. Works independently and within a small team performing work that can sometimes be ambiguous. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in instructional design, HR organizational development, or data analytics
5 or more years of technical experience
Prior experience working in a consumer centric company contributing to the learning function or related function(s)
Progressive business analytics with a focus on learning strategies and adult learning theory
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with business partners
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in one of the following areas: Learning and Performance, Education, Human Resources, Organizational Design, or related field
Work experience in health care and/or insurance setting
Adobe Captive or Storyline experience
Power BI or analytics software experience
Shareable content reference model (SCORM) experience
