This position establishes the standards and methodologies of medical nutrition therapy for patients and staff and delivers direct patient care.','!*!
Bachelor's degree and Registered Dietitian status (RD / RDN) from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Commission on Dietetic Registration
Washington State Certification
Specialty board certifications as needed per area & assignment
Working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacology, and behavioral sciences
An understanding of therapeutic nutrition
A working knowledge of safety and sanitation practices for food science
Counseling skills, the ability to negotiate, work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment and strong math skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent problem solving skills
A Master's Degree is preferred. Two years of experience in an acute care hospital; OR an advanced degree plus one year of acute care experience and one year of outpatient experience are also preferred.
