If you are a person in recovery from substance use, mental health challenges, homelessness and/or other significant challenges and want to support others along their journey of recovery, this job is for you. You must be in recovery for a minimum of a year and have completed the Certified Peer Recovery Specialist training or be willing/able to do so within three months of hire. Our Safe Haven Integrated Health Home team provides supportive services to individuals challenged by homelessness, substance use and mental health issues. We use a harm reduction, person-centered approach. You will work with a team of professionals - a clinician, prescriber, nurse, and case manager, all of whom work in concert to provide the highest quality care. The Peer Recovery Specialist supports each individual on their caseload by matching the interventions provided to the person's readiness to change. Responsibilities include case management for which training will be provided. Documentation is an important part of each person's care, so qualified applicants are proficient with technology and understand that completing progress notes and person-centered recovery plans is essential. Some coverage of the Drop-in Center is also expected.
