Description

The Home Compliance & Risk Management Lead contributes to the success of Humana's business strategy by supporting risk and compliance initiatives across Home Solutions teams within the Healthcare Services organization. As the Compliance & Risk Management Lead, you will be responsible for identifying strategic, operational and compliance risks, evaluating internal and external audit results, researching new/emerging regulatory guidance, supporting and evaluating implementation of this guidance, performing ongoing monitoring and oversight, and serving as a risk and compliance expert to the Home Solutions business.

The Home Compliance & Risk Management Lead contributes to the success of Humana's business strategy by supporting risk and compliance initiatives across Home Solutions teams within the Healthcare Services organization. As the Compliance & Risk Management Lead, you will be responsible for identifying strategic, operational and compliance risks, evaluating internal and external audit results, researching new/emerging regulatory guidance, supporting and evaluating implementation of this guidance, performing ongoing monitoring and oversight, and serving as a risk and compliance expert to the Home Solutions business.

Provide assurance around the effectiveness and efficiency of Healthcare Services compliance and operational processes.

Perform targeted reviews of processes, documentation, metrics, and data sets to identify strategic, operational and compliance risks/gaps; develop and oversee implementation of remediation activities.

Oversee the identification, analysis, mitigation, tracking and reporting of strategic, operational, and compliance risks in collaboration with the business.

Identify and document key internal controls; develop strategies for monitoring and enhancement.

Work with operational leaders to ensure alignment between systems, internal/external reporting, operational processes, strategic plans, and monitoring and oversight procedures.

Build strategic relationships with Home Solutions operational leaders and key business partners.

Lead meetings and prepare presentations, reports, and dashboards for senior leaders.

Serve as a problem solver, provide recommendations, and implement change.

Work collaboratively with other oversight groups including Operational Risk Management, Legal, Enterprise Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, and Internal Audit.

Travel will be 15%-20% once covid restrictions are lifted

Role Essentials

Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, or a related field

7 years of audit, compliance, risk or process consulting experience

Knowledge of regulations governing the health care industry

Ability to work in a self-directed manner on multiple projects concurrently

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook

Experience utilizing dashboards, trends and data to make recommendations

Identify any risk or trends that may need escalation

Role Desirables

Certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA, CISSP, CRMA, PMP

Experience with Power BI

Advanced degree preferred - MBA or JD

Knowledge of Humana's internal policies and procedures

Previous experience in home health, care delivery, or care management

Project management/process management experience

Experience with strategic initiatives and implementations

Experience with Salesforce, Homecare Homebase, and/or other care management platforms
