What You Will Do
Provide a safe environment for children.
Ensure children are supervised at all times.
Ensure the environment is safe, clean and in good repair. Report deficiencies to supervisor immediately.
Follow acceptable protocol when accepting children for child care coverage.
Interact with children and parents appropriately.
Assist in maintaining the ordered arrangement, appearance, décor, and learning environment of the classroom while allowing for the expressive and creative involvement and interaction of children.
What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.In lieu of BLS, Pediatric CPR and First Aid through ASHI, AHA or LifeSaver Learning, Inc. or Heart Saver AED through AHA obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date will be accepted required.
Food Service Professional credentialed from the ServSafe National Restaurant Association obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.Will accept Food Handler Card through Food Handler Essentials Course through State Food Safety within 1 Month (30 days) of hire or job transfer date required.
Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
Additional Preferences
Previous infant experience required. CDA, related degree or credits strongly preferred.
