The Contact Tracer RN has the responsibility for supporting the Contact Tracer initiative within Infection Prevention and Employee Health  in accordance with established standards, i.e., The Joint Commission (TJC), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). The initiative is designed to reduce the risk of endemic, pandemic, and  hospital associated infections in patients, health care workers, and visitors by collecting data, reviewing and reporting on potential and actual exposures. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Minimum requirement graduate from an accredited nursing program (ASN), BSN preferred.

Experience: Knowledge and/or job experience in epidemiologic principles and infectious diseases preferred Experience with EMR, Excel and databases.

Licensure, Certification and/or Registration: RN license in the state of Virginia.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Strong organizational and analytical skills. Knowledge of word processing, spread sheets, and presentation programs.
