Assistant Professor
position in the Associate of Science Registered Nursing (ASN) program within the Allied Health Professions Department.
Faculty in the Associate of Science Nursing Program are primarily responsible for instructional preparation and teaching of nursing courses offered in classroom, clinical, and laboratory setting. The faculty member is responsible for developing educational and evaluation materials consistent with the framework of the Montana State Board of Nursing Rules and Regulations and ACEN national accreditation standards. The faculty member participates in the development, review, and evaluation of nursing courses along with the evaluation of student performance consistent with the ASN end of program student learning outcomes; Patient-Centered Care, Safety, Teamwork and Collaboration, Evidence-Based Practice, Quality Improvement, Informatics and Clinical Judgment.
This individual will participate in the advising of students and departmental and college-related committees and activities. Each faculty member is responsible for maintaining current R.N. licensure and professional experience in teaching specialty.
Qualifications
M.S. or higher degree required in Nursing.
At least 3 years of clinical experience in the assigned area of teaching.
Adequate computer skills for patient care and for educational and administrative requirements.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Proven dedication to student learning and academic support.
Current unencumbered RN licensure and updated health records.
