Description

The Mail Order Pharmacy Technician works in a high-volume mail-order pharmacy setting under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Performs the technical aspects of medication preparation, distribution, record keeping and inventory control.

Responsibilities

This is an onsite position

The Mail Operations Pharmacy Technician 2 completes data entry of prescription orders; translate prescriptions into pharmacy software QS11 system. Make outbound calls to patients and doctor's offices, perform pharmacy calculations, adhere to established performance metrics, communicate with call center agents to assist patients. Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction. Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm or 9:30am-6:00pm EST

Required Qualifications

Must have an active license with the Board of Pharmacy in the appropriate state

Minimum 3 years of related experience

High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

National Certification, PTCB CphT if not must be obtained within 6 months after hire date

Bilingual in Spanish/English

Data entry of prescriptions

Micrsoft Suite Experienc
