The Clinical Expeditor has the primary responsibility of assigning bed placement for patients requiring admission to acute care and critical care units to all Multi Care Health System IBUs. This will include admissions from Emergency Departments, direct admits, inter-facility, and inter-unit transfers. Surgical patients (in the case of add on procedures and/or changes to admission) as well as pediatrics, overflow units, observation units, short stay units, and admissions from outside facilities. Chart review and /or calls to clarify bed criteria will be performed to assure appropriate bed placement. The Clinical Expeditor collaborates with the House Supervisors, Charge RNs, Physicians, EVS, Case Management, the Resource Management Center, and other facilities to define, reduce and eliminate barriers within the system which may impede patient flow. Minimum Requirements:

Five years recent clinical experience in a tertiary acute care setting required

Previous experience and demonstrated skills in a leadership or a supervisory role required

Previous House Supervisor experience preferred

Three years management experience preferred Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within three years from the initial date of hire

Advanced Degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred

Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington

ACLS certified or must become certified within 6 months of employment

Health Care Provider CPR certification required
