Description
The Senior Product Management Professional must be able to lead, plan and track all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace and ongoing management. The ability to create value streams and understand how critical it is to work in an environment transitioning to SAFe Agile. This individual's work assignments involve moderately complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Additionally they will independently lead several complex workstreams within a varied portfolio, owning the milestones and deliverables required to bring concepts through the complete product life cycle.
Responsibilities
The Senior Product Management Professional must be able to lead, plan and track all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace and ongoing management. The role has an increased focus on the technical side of products and is required to have expertise in fields or industries such as software development, engineering, IT, and a wide variety of others. They partner to focus on customer needs with a greater emphasis with the engineering team on product prioritization, product strategy, product lifecycle, and product development, making use of their technical knowledge of the product. The ability to understand how to work in an environment transitioning to SAFe Agile is critical. This individual's work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Additionally they will need to own and prioritize the assigned product backlog.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and drive value stream changes in a Medicaid environment
Guides the end to end strategy, design and execution of work for new products or enhancements of existing value chains/streams
IT product manager, initially for a domain and then the future state product
Set priorities, develop features and user stories
Ability to understand technical challenges and make educated trade-offs
IT product manager, initially for a domain and then the future state product
Partners closely with leadership to craft Medicaid product strategy
Leads and guides the business systems analysts/ product owners to ensure understanding of Humana's needs to drive work and delivery
Participates in PI Planning events, including readiness through Pre- & Post-PI planning meetings
Tracks the execution of epics and features against plan
Assist with facilitating feature & epics estimation during identification and prioritization
Coaches Leaders & Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices & mindsets
Provides strategic direction and guardrails to the sprint plan and the backlog
Maintains Manages the Release Plan ensuring teams establish priorities within the backlog to keep the pipeline flowing, groomed and shovel ready.
Influences the product strategy and roadmap rooted in consumer insights and analysis of market findings
Makes executive level recommendations in regards to investments, development lifecycle and prioritization
Accountable for managing investment and partner relationships in the development phase
Obtain and synthesize complex data in order to tell t product value story
Organizes results, derive actionable insights and communicate with stakeholders and executive level leadership
Leads cross-functional team (operations, technology, clinical partners, data analytics), IT Scrum teams, and multiple work streams, meeting all key deliverables and maintaining aggressive timelines
Builds excellent working relationships with key partners to enable successful collaboration and measurable results
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
3 years of Medicaid experiences
3 years of product management experience (driving end to end product strategy)
7 years of Healthcare industry experience
Highly skilled in Agile methodology
Familiarity with Jira Align and ADO
Ability to understand and simplify technology direction
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired.
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including ability to synthesize data and deliver a clear overview of strategy, opportunity and risks to diverse audiences

Additional Information
For this job, associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated (preferred) or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work.
