Sr. Associate Scientist

Immuno-Oncology & Cellular Therapy Late Stage Research

We are searching for a Senior Associate Scientist to join our Immuno-Oncology and Cellular Therapy late-stage translational research team to conduct laboratory based experiments as well as work with contract research organizations and internal and external collaborators to further our understanding of clinical-stage immune-oncology. The successful candidate will contribute to mechanism of action studies, drug combination studies, biomarker identification, and generation of data that supports patient stratification, indication selection, and the pharmacodynamic evaluation of drugs in the clinical setting. Expertise in developing and executing pre-clinical in vitro and in vivo studies and strong knowledge in immunology and tumor biology is required.

Primary Responsibilities:

Design and perform a wide range of experiments with efficiency, accuracy and attention to detail, conduct analysis and report results under minimal supervision

Perform immunology, cell biology, molecular biology, and biochemical laboratory techniques

Actively participate in the development, design and optimization of immune cell assays

Assist in the coordination of external collaborations and/or contract research laboratories

Participate in Immuno-oncology team meetings to present data and provide analysis

Ship and receive reagents to CROs and internal and external collaborators

Contribute to the writing of non-clinical pharmacology study reports, invention disclosures, and contribute to the writing of investigator brochures, IND applications, regulatory annual reports, and other regulatory documents when appropriate

Qualifications:

B.S. or M.S. degree in life sciences or medical sciences field with at least 8 years of successful experience as a research associate at bench in an industrial setting

Knowledge and experience in immunology and/or cancer biology strongly preferred

Knowledge of one or more fields of innate immune biology (myeloid cells, natural killer cells, etc) preferred

Proficiency with

10 parameter flow cytometry required

One or more non-flow cytometry immunological techniques such as cytotoxicity assays, phagocytic assays, Luminex, MSD, etc. strongly preferred

Primary cell and cell line culture required

Biostatistics preferred

Ability to multitask, independently organize time and plan specifics of work

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills demonstrated in a team environment

Ability to work in a matrixed and highly collaborative environment

Familiarity with data management tools and software for analyzing data sets from various assay formats.

Detail-oriented with the ability to identify and implement creative solutions

Experience working with and coordinating CROs
