In this role:
The MA or LPN will be providing support to the GYN Onc provider and Breast Onc provider (surgeons). The position is located at the MultiCare Regional Cancer Center's Tacoma clinic, but the person in this role may be asked to help support these providers at the Auburn, Puyallup and or Gig Harbor clinics. The MA or LPN would be assisting the provider in clinic including rooming patients, obtaining vitals, assisting in procedures, and or chaperoning the provider. Experience with procedures (in area service line) is a plus.
Position Summary for LPN:
The Clinic LPN functions as a primary clinic nurse under the direction of a physician, providing direct and indirect patient care and assisting the physician with patient care, procedures, and follow-up. Minimum Requirements:
Two years experience as an LPN in a clinic setting preferred. New graduates welcome! Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Current WA state LPN license.
BLS required
Position Summary for MA:
The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting the provider with back office duties in the outpatient management of patients and completing or assisting with front office duties. This position is a vital part of the office team that cares for patients in the clinic setting working under the direction of a physician. This position works closely with the physicians, other clinical staff, and front office staff. Work situations are a variety of clinical functions within a clinic setting requiring knowledge and integration of available standards, resources, and data; discretion; good judgment; diplomacy; decision making; and a customer service attitude. Acting as the patient advocate the Medical Assistant has continuous contact with physicians, patients, patient families/ significant others, community agencies, and MHS patient care staff and management.
Minimum Requirements:
One (1) year experience in physician's office or other medical facility preferred. New graduates welcome!
Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) Certification.
BLS required.
