The Clinical Line Manager will assume 24/7 responsibility for clinical service lines in perioperative services. Collaborates with the Operations Manager, Perioperative Director, and the OR Educators to meet department goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Responsible for planning, organizing and directing assigned service lines.
• Responds appropriately and quickly to complaints and service line related issues.
• Identifies cost savings strategies relevant to service line.
• Monitors the current and future OR schedule on a daily basis to identify case needs, possible conflicts, scheduling accuracy and staffing needs.
• Responsible for direct communication with physicians in service line.
• Identifies and anticipates physician needs for supplies, equipment or technology. Works with department director in financial planning for identified needs.
• Maintains a high level of familiarity with equipment related to service line. Acts as a resource for staff in learning technical aspects of equipment.
• Coordinates or provides needed training and in-services for equipment related to service line. Monitors staffing competencies related to service line.
• Maintains a high degree of interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and manage a wide variety of issues relating to the perioperative setting.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Active Current California RN License
• BSN
• BLS/CPR Certification
• Minimum of 2 years' Operating Room experience in clinical service line.
• Computer skills necessary to navigate SIS, and clinical related I.S. systems.
