Produces diagnostic radiographs, performs all Special Procedures and function a scrub tech for Interventional and Neurovascular procedures as ordered by a physician following the established policies of the department. Able to provide appropriate care for patients served, regardless of age. Must provide coverage on weekends, holidays and off shifts as deemed necessary to maintain level of departmental standards. Responsible for emergency call after hours in all facets of Radiology, special procedures and neurovascular in rotation 7/24, 365 days a year.

Responsibilities
1. Performs highest quality imaging considtent with prescribed examination and assists in examinations under the direction of a radiologist and/or neurovascular surgeon following the established policies of the department and state regulations. Understands and practices proper use of all department equipment.
2. Conducts appropriate patient care and teaching relative to imaging procedure and age of patient. Interacts professionally at all times with patient and family members. Assures privacy and confidentiality throughout prescribed examination. Obtains patient history and reviews clinical indication for exam requested for appropriateness. Informs physician of changes in patient's condition during exam. Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient, including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
3. Responsible for safety of patients and staff. Observes safety precautions at all times. Follows all established guidelines of the ARRT. Understands proper use of all
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Graduation from an approved program in Radiologic Technology; is ARRT Registered and has a current Connecticut license.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Three (3) years experience in Interventional Radiology or Interventional Cardiology procedures. and/or Neurovascular scrub preferred.
Neurointerventional Radiology experience preferred
LICENSURE
ARRT (R) Registered and has a current Connecticut license, BLS
