Description

Humana is hiring Telephonic Case Manager RNs to evaluate member's needs and requirements to achieve or maintain optimal wellness by evaluating the need for Home Care. Openings exist in the following states: AR, KS, KY, MN, MO, NV, OH.

This is a flexible, queue-work position that can be Work-At-Home and according to personal availability. Once a case is accepted, the RN has a limited amount of time to complete it. If you enjoy doing intake, evaluation and care coordination, with schedule flexibility, this could be a good fit for you.

Responsibilities

The Telephonic RN provides a one time intake evaluation for Personal Care at Home for members. Once a case is accepted, the RN receives an email to set-up the evaluation.

This position requires clinical knowledge, communication skills, and independent critical thinking skills towards interpreting criteria, policies, and procedures to provide the best and most appropriate treatment, care or services for members.

Applicants must live/ be licensed in one of the following states: AR, KS, KY, MN, MO, NV, OH

Responsibilities include:

Coordinates and communicates with intake, scheduling, and members, or other parties to facilitate optimal care and treatment in the home.

Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives

The Telephonic RN work assignments frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

Required Qualifications

Unrestricted Registered Nurse License within the state of practice

2 years of experience working with the senior population

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build rapport

Ability to work with minimal supervision within the role and scope

Ability to use a variety of electronic information applications/software programs including electronic medical records

Intermediate to Advanced computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office products: Word, Outlook, and Excel

Excellent keyboard and web navigation skills

Must have a separate room with a locked door that can be used as a home office to ensure continuous privacy while you work

Must have accessibility to high speed DSL or Cable modem for a home office (Satellite internet service is NOT allowed for this role); and recommended speed for optimal performance from Humana At Home systems is 5Mx1M

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

BSN

Compact licensure

2 years of experience of in home care/case management

Previous managed care experience

Bilingual - English, Spanish

Interview Format

If participating in a SMS Text interview, you will be asked a series of questions to which you will be using your cell phone or computer to answer the questions provided. Expect this type of interview to last anywhere from 5-10 minutes. Your recorded interview(s) via text and/or pre-recorded voice will be reviewed and you will subsequently be informed if you will be moving forward to next round of interviews.
