Provides training and/or mentoring of technologists in the performance of quality control testing as well as in the performance of providing high quality mammography exams following MQSA (FDA) regulations. The QC Lead Mammographer is responsible for collecting, compiling, and maintaining statistical data to comply with equipment and personnel requirements. Will perform diagnostic and screening exams as well as procedures. Will consult with the Mammography Section Head to meet patient care needs with the appropriate protocols.

','!*!This position requires an AA in Radiologic Sciences and a Washington State License as a Radiologic Technologist and certificate from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT- R), and mammography (ARRT-M). This position also requires four years of experience in breast imaging care with two years mammography quality control. The incumbent must be trained and certified in performing breast imaging exams and have thorough knowledge of breast anatomy and breast imaging equipment to include the appropriate required QC testing, as well as a comprehensive working knowledge of the FDA and MQSA requirements. The incumbent must have a thorough working knowledge of spreadsheet and word-processing software. The incumbent must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Training in Quality Management preferred for this position.
