SUMMARY
The physician relationship liaison, working under the direction of the Director of Business Development for the Office
of Strategy Management, and in collaboration with the hospital Chief Medical Officer, promotes health system and
hospital services across all campuses and ambulatory sites. The position will be responsible for building relations
between physicians, their office staff and hospital departments. The physician relationship liaison is also
responsible for providing market intelligence, surveying competitors, making recommendations for the
implementation of new programs/services to increase physician loyalty and satisfaction, and generating analytic
reports. The position is accountable for developing positive customer relations with outreach clients and resolving
issues in a timely manner.
The position requires the ability to travel and have an understanding of the target market and the future growth and
expansion of services offered by the hospital and health system.

Responsibilities
Assist in the development of marketing materials and support other organizational initiatives that impact
customer satisfaction
Visit providers on a regular basis with written reporting on visits and follow-up as needed.
Maintain a daily call log to identify any trends and monitor all activity. Log sheet will be reviewed periodically
by the manager to ensure that communication and follow up is done in a timely manner.
Use data to determine and prioritize physicians who present the best opportunity for growth and work with
internal colleagues to develop best approaches and action plans.
In collaboration with the Director of Business Development and Chief Medical Officer, develop and gain
support for business development strategies for target market and services.
Provide new physician orientation to the hospital according to JCAHO standards. Ensure new appointees
have the opportunity to meet with various departments including their area of specialty, security,
telecommunications etc.
Develops relationship with NEMG physician outreach personnel.
Attends physician events during the year (i.e. MD day, forums, etc.).
Monitor and report out on quantifiable shift in MD utilizations (i.e. volumes, ancillary testing, surgeries, etc.).
Administrative liaison, as directed by Chief Medical Officer, to various physician YNHHS committees and task
forces.
Involved in physician recruitment, practice support and communication regarding managed care and
other initiatives.
Collaborate closely with teammates, other internal teams, and external partners as needed.
Cross cover other team members under the direction of the manager.
Discuss and assist with physicians on how to market their practices appropriately.
Assist in the planning of events, luncheons or other activities that will provide an opportunity to promote our
services.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: BS degree in healthcare or marketing preferred, or certification or experience in one or more health disciplines
strongly preferred
EXPERIENCE: Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in related health care field, pharmaceutical or medical device sales.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, have excellent communication and customer service skills; must be proficient
with all applications of MS office; ability to be persistent without seeming aggressive; strong follow up on action
plans and issues; able to work independently and collaboratively; strong listening and interpersonal skills ;
understanding of both physician and hospital-based models. Strong background in data analytics with patient
satisfaction and physician satisfaction information. Must be able to work flexible hours in order to accommodate
client needs. Must use personal car for travel. Must be able to work independently.

skills are required. Must exercise independent judgement in resolving client issues, knowing when to refer to manager.
