The Director, Strategy & Operations of US Hematology, will be part of building and executing strategy and will engage with all levels of the organization. In this role, you will lead strategic core initiatives across the US Hematology business focused on franchise-level critical projects, determining effective approaches for solving complex problems, and delivering insights to key stakeholders that accelerate achievement of strategic and operational objectives.

You will interface primarily with the US Hematology Leadership Team, US Strategy & Operations teams, Oncology Ops teams, US Hem Medical Affairs, Market Access and Manufacturing teams, as well as the BMS Operational & Capabilities Leads, to ensure the execution of near-term objectives and long-term strategy. This position will manage a team of up to five associates overseeing the promotional review process (MLR) and the Veeva Promo Mats system.Roles and Responsibilities:Develops and drives the operational execution of the strategy across the US Hematology Franchise:

Lead and manage complex cross-functional efforts to develop and implement product level strategies to achieve company operational and strategic business objectives.

Responsible for executive-level meeting presentations, key strategic initiatives and tracking and measuring overall business results across multiple organizations.

Conceptualize and develop clear, creative, more effective business strategies

Ensures the implementation of Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) capabilities plug-ins into the US Hematology Franchise

Responsible for reporting key milestones for the integration initiatives

Responsible for overseeing the US Hem promotional review process including the implementation of the refined promotional review process (MLR) across the US Commercial franchises

Proactively addresses and manages risks and issue escalation

Identifies synergies across the organization

Effectively partners with key stakeholders across the BMS matrix – especially the BMS Capabilities leads and the US Hematology Market Access / Medical Affairs / Manufacturing teams.

Partners with the leaders to find resources (headcount and/or budget) to achieve regional commercial objectives and drive allocation and prioritization of activities.

Provides support to the US Hematology Strategy & Operations lead on Operations-related topics.

Drives the agenda for the US Hem Operations topics and plays a central role in preparing for major meetings and presentations on these topics

Required Knowledge/Skills/Education:

Bachelor’s degree with a strong record of academic achievement

5-7 years Pharmaceutical/Biotech/Healthcare experience

Preferred: Commercial Operations or Consulting Management experience

Previous people management experience

Strong project and process management skills, along with the ability to work on multiple tasks, and to effectively prioritize

Ability to closely monitor execution of plans, measure results and correct deviations as appropriate

Strong people skills with experience working in a highly matrixed, international organization

Ability to be decisive and make independent decisions

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills at all levels of the organization; excellent presentation skills, both material creation and delivery
