ROLE SUMMARY
This role will have accountability as a Medical Director for Immuno-Oncology (I-O) with a focus on NSCLC cancer. He/she will be a key contributor of the cross functional medical team to prepare for market entry into 1L NSCLC as well support ongoing indication in 2L NSCLC.
RESPONSIBILITIES
He/ she will support the global medical plan, provide medical insight into strategic plans, and provide strategic direction into the Scientific Communication Platform, NRDG/ISR proposals and trials, Advisory Boards/Symposiums/Congress activities and work closely to ensure delivery of key knowledge to the internal stakeholders including local medical personnel. He or she will lead work streams to identify evidence gaps to support access/HEOR and to define and support global execution of these opportunities. The Director builds and ensures global alignment for the medical plan. He or she will partner closely with medical colleagues in the Markets, with Clinical Research, Discovery, Regulatory, Commercial, Access, Health Outcomes and other key functions. The role will report to the HQ Medical Lung Lead.
CRITICAL PARTNERSHIPS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will have an advance degree (MD, PhD, or Pharm.D) with clinical or industry experience 10 or more years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry (medical affairs or clinical development), broad experience in oncology with specific expertise in immune-based therapy for cancer and expertise in the execution of clinical trials. The candidate should also have experience working with national and regional physician thought leaders in the area of oncology, strong analytical skills, an ability to evaluate scientific data and medical literature and extrapolate them appropriately medical, marketing, or sales programs, strong project management skills and ability to work effectively with cross functional teams including clinical, commercialization, regulatory and early discovery , and should be highly organized and motivated individual with ability to develop and coordinate multiple projects and initiatives, possessing excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong interpersonal skills and presentation skills..
