Our Virginia Mason Outpatient Surgery Center is looking for a part time GI Procedural RN. This is a 32 hour per week position. Schedule may vary. The OSC is open 0700-1600 Monday-Friday. Our Federal Way Outpatient Surgery Center offers a full range of adult and pediatric surgery services including: bariatric surgery gastroenterology (GI), general and plastic surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, optometry, orthopedics, otolaryngology (ear, nose and throat—ENT) surgeries. Inside and out, the Federal Way location is inviting. Surrounded by evergreens, the medical center offers plenty of convenient free parking. Inside, skylights provide natural lighting, and green spaces viewable from many parts of the medical center which promote a sense of calm.The Federal Way Outpatient Surgery Center is a busy GI procedural unit and performs general endoscopy procedures using moderate sedation or anesthesia. We have a very cohesive team and collaborative work environment. Ambulatory GI Procedural Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high quality, skilled nursing services to assist patients to achieve optimum health, functional health status and safe passage while receiving an invasive procedure during an episodic or series of visits.
As an Ambulatory GI Procedural Registered Nurse you will:
Demonstrate technical expertise while supporting the patient and the care team during the episodic visit where interventions and procedures occur.
Use the nursing process to support a patient in achieving an optimal level of wellness as defined by the patient.
The Ambulatory Interventional/Procedural Registered Nurse assists patients to achieve optimum functional health status and safe passage throughout their procedural experience.
Provides skilled assessment and triage, education, collaboration and coordination of healthcare and community resources,
The Ambulatory Interventional/Procedural Registered Nurse assists patients/families, staff and systems to achieve high quality, evidence-based, cost-effective, and patient-focused outcomes.
Nursing care provided by the registered nurse reflects the nursing process through an integration of knowledge, skills, experience, and attitudes needed to meet the needs of patients and families.

Current Washington State licensure as an RN
CPR certification is required every two years
Bachelors of Science of Nursing
Strong patient assessment skills, ability to work collaboratively in team setting, current working knowledge of electronic medical records.
Ideal candidates will have RN experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center and or GI procedural experience. Experience with moderate sedation experience and ACLS certification is required.
