Description

The Clinical Data and Reporting Professional 2 generates ad hoc reports and regular datasets and reporting for clinical leadership decision making. The Clinical Data and Reporting Professional 2 also pulls data out of a data warehouse using queries and scripts. The assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

Responsibilities

The Clinical Data and Reporting Professional 2 integrates data from multiple sources to produce reporting and analysis for use by Clinical Leadership.

Programs and maintains report forms and formats, information dashboards, data generators, canned reports and other end-user information portals or resources.

May create specifications for reports based on business requests.

Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.

Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or relevant 2 years of experience

2 years of experience in data analytics and reporting

Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

In-depth experience in Microsoft Excel including formulas, pivots, charts, and graphs

Experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations and/or the analysis of data

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple or competing priorities

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

1 or more years of experience in SQL, SAS, QlikView and Tableau

Experience creating automated reports and self-service tools

Experience in managed care or health care sector

Prior experience working in a system analytics and/or data warehousing environment

Experience with Humana's clinical data and/or processes
