If you are interested in gaining experience working in the mental health and substance abuse substance abuse field, we have the perfect position for you! Our Acute Stabilization Unit in Providence is looking for a candidate to work as Treatment Assistant/CNA. The Acute Stabilization Unit at Providence works from a trauma informed care practice model. This model works to realize the widespread impact of trauma, recognize signs/symptoms of trauma, respond to trauma with knowledge, and seeks to resist re-traumatization. You would be responsible for ensuring patient safety, demonstrating professional behavior, and keeping established rules/protocols while maintaining patient dignity. Treatment Assistant/ CNA will also be responsible for assisting in treatment groups and activities on the unit.
You would be exchanging pertinent client information to team members and working under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and the Program Manager. Candidate must have excellent written and communication skills, ability to handle crises, and ability to multi-task while working in a fast paced environment. Being safety focused, having attention to detail, and being able to respond to emergencies or crisis is an important aspect of this position.
Education/Licensing Requirements
: High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in Human Services or attending school in a Human Services discipline. Certified Nursing Assistants with the right experience in Human Services and current CNA students or college students are encouraged to apply!
