Description

The Health Educator instructs and coach's groups or individuals on health conditions. The Health Educator work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

Responsibilities

The Health Educator demonstrates excellent public speaking techniques and is skilled at facilitating various health topics. The goal of which is to help attendees want to improve their well being through additional motivational coaching techniques as needed. Makes decisions in line with job training regarding work, requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors in Health, Health Education, Nursing, Social Work, Education, or related field

More than 5 years experience in effective delivery of Healthcare Education and/or Wellness programs (preferably with seniors)

Exceptional interpersonal, public speaking and presentations skills

Previous experience in teaching, training, mentoring or facilitating

Strong attention to detail and exceptional follow up skills

Collaborate with various levels of the organization internally and community

Strong technical knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Bi-lingual English and Spanish (Fluent in both)

CHES certification, or the ability to obtain certification, based upon relevant education

If you are selected to move forward from your application prescreen, you will receive correspondence inviting you to participate in a pre-recorded Voice Interview and/or an SMS Text Messaging interview. If participating in a pre-recorded interview, you will respond to a set of interview questions via your phone. You should anticipate this interview to take approximately 10-15 minutes.

If participating in a SMS Text interview, you will be asked a series of questions to which you will be using your cell phone or computer to answer the questions provided. Expect this type of interview to last anywhere from 5-10 minutes. Your recorded interview(s) via text and/or pre-recorded voice will be reviewed and you will subsequently be informed if you will be moving forward to next round of interviews.
