Description
The Senior Security Professional protects the organization's employees, properties, and all items of value on premises from any preventable harm or danger. The Senior Security Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
The Senior Security Professional reports to the Security Lead and is responsible for building, maintaining and maturing a comprehensive threat management program. The candidate will assist with workplace violence program management, as well as the unique risks that in-home/lone workers face as part of their daily routine.
The Senior Security Professional will evaluate risk expressions, threats, and behaviors which erode workplace safety and perceptions of safety/security, make recommendations, often time-sensitive, to most effectively mitigate threats and threatening behaviors. In partnership with multiple stakeholders, the candidate will employ a comprehensive methodology to provide threat assessments to contribute to the safest environment possible at Humana.
Responsibilities
Build a programmatic approach to behavioral threat assessments and subsequent mitigation plans in support of Humana's in-home/lone workers
Liaise with stakeholders to obtain necessary data in order to maintain comprehensive risk assessment methodologies and capabilities
Responsible for maintaining proficiency in current evidence-based behavioral threat assessment and management practices
Provide business-focused solutions in alignment with strategic objectives and the prioritization of life safety
Create and maintain a continuous improvement and collaborative environment
Develop and strengthen relationships with internal and external partners to facilitate safety of Humana associates across the enterprise

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Sciences, Safety, Security, Criminal Justice or other related field - suitable military or government experience may be a substitute
3-5 years private sector experience in behavioral threat assessment role
Ability to effectively collect intelligence and assess situations to inform risk management strategies
Strong understanding of investigative processes
Comfortable making critical decisions in uncertain situations
Effective and clear communication skills
Advanced critical thinking skills
Highly organized, adapts quickly to changing demands, great attention to detail
Problem-solver, able to troubleshoot issues independently and knows when to escalate
Able to respond to strategic direction, recognize leadership intent and re-prioritize workload accordingly

Preferred Qualifications
CTM, CPP or relevant certifications preferred
Additional Information
Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field.
Work-At-Home Requirements:
Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office.
