This pharmacy intern position acts as a part of the pharmacy team to complete provide pharmacy services under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist including prescriptions processing/filling; delivery of medications to inpatients; prescription compounding; ensuring that patients receive safe, appropriate and effective medical treatment by providing clinical drug information to physicians, nurses and patients; monitoring patient drug therapy, checking for drug-drug interactions; ensuring the provision of the most cost-effective therapy and recommending alternative drug treatments to providers when appropriate.

','!*!This position requires current licensure as a Washington State Pharmacy Intern and active enrollment in an accredited college of pharmacy making steady progress toward graduation and full pharmacist licensure. This position requires a working knowledge of drug formularies; strong organizational skills; excellent interpersonal skills; a working knowledge of clinical drug information; the ability to operate a computer system; and the ability to work under stress and time pressures.
