The individual will lead the analysis, planning and strategic formation of CTSI clinical program goals. \u003cbr/\u003e\u003cbr/\u003eThe Nursing Director will be responsible for the management, supervision, and development of clinical staff across four campuses: Parnassus, SFVAMC, Mission Bay, and ZSFG. The individual is also responsible for the management of the staff in the Body Composition \u0026 Exercise Laboratory. In collaboration with the CRS Medical Director, the Nursing Director will work closely with appropriate principal investigators and research staff for the services assigned. The Nursing Director is part of the senior leadership of the CTSI and serves as a role model for professional nursing practice with management and responsibility for the administration of personnel, fiscal, and material resources. Working closely with the CTSI Director and Chief Administrative Officer, the individual supports the overall mission of CTSI and UCSF in providing high quality patient care, teaching and research.\u003cbr/\u003e\u003cbr/\u003eThe Nurse reports to the Associate Nursing Director or Charge Nurse for shift duties. CRS provides an array of core research services such as adult and pediatric Nursing Services, Body Composition and Exercise Labs, Neurodevelopment testing and Sample Processing labs.\u003cbr/\u003e\u003cbr/\u003eThe Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI), which spans the four UCSF health science schools (Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing and Dentistry), the UCSF Graduate Division, and collaborating affiliates of UCSF. The mission of CTSI is to facilitate clinical and translational research to improve patient and community health. CTSI does this by providing infrastructure, services and training to make research more efficient. CTSI develops broad coalitions and partnerships at the local, regional and national levels to enable a transformation of the research environment.
