Cardiovascular Technician','200355','Cardiovascular Laboratory','Washington-Seattle','Days','40 hours per week','40 hours per week','9:00a - 5:30p','9:00a - 5:30p','Monday - Friday','Monday - Friday','','','!*!In this Cardiovascular Technician (CVT) role you will provide technical support for diagnostic, non-invasive cardiac testing (e.g., treadmill tests, ECGs, Holter scans) for inpatient and ambulatory populations. You will also provide ECG management for VM and contractual business.Conduct treadmill tests, including patient preparation, test performance, and patient recovery. Troubleshoot equipment issues and, as able, resolves in a timely manner, or escalates issues to the appropriate staff (e.g., Clinical Engineering). Prepare reports of test results for interpretation by the physician. Perform Holter scans, Zio patches, Zio cards, and Ambulatory Blood Pressures (ABP). Perform patient preparation: Ensure complete and accurate understanding by patient and patient representative (e.g., Interpreter) of testing procedures, through verbal explanation and demonstration. Ensure correct initialization and/or hookups of equipment and peripheral devices (e.g., Aria monitors). May scan Holter acquisitions and review data to identify abnormalities. Provide ECG management for VM and contractual business. Perform ECGs, ensuring correct lead placement, and screen results for technical quality and/or abnormalities; report abnormalities, or changes in patient’s rhythms, to the RN or physician. Provides support for VM staff in the use of ECG systems/software. Perform administrative functions in support of the Cardiovascular Lab. Schedule and arrive patients. High school diploma or equivalent required.
CPR certification and successful completion of an arrhythmia test required within 6 months of hire.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
Aptitude for detail and organizational skills required.
Ability to work independently under general supervision, and to respond appropriately and be flexible in a dynamic environment.
Basic skill in using PCs and in navigating through software applications required.
Experience in a clinical setting desirable. Medical Assistant training a plus. Skill in using patient scheduling and/or billing systems a plus.
