JOB SUMMARY

The Spine clinic is focused on alleviating pain and reducing disability from spinal diseases using the least invasive, effective approach to treatment. Every patient is unique and is provided focused care at the highest quality.  The goal is to ensure that patients with chronic pain, or neck, back or spine injuries get the care they need so they can live the life they want, without limitations or discomfort.

Support Carilion’s hallmarks of service excellence and quality for all job responsibilities.  Provides practical nursing support in the delivery of quality care for the patient in a physician practice or clinic setting as directed by the physician or mid-level practitioner.  Complies with all federal, state, local, Carilion Clinic and departmental policies and standards, as applicable.  Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development to appropriately care for patients served.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduate of accredited school of practical nursing required, or new graduate of approved program eligible to sit for the Virginia licensure exam.

Experience: One (1) year experience in a physician office preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of Virginia (LPN) required. Licensure as a Radiologic Technician Limited if performing radiology. Current AHA BLS-HCP certification required.

Other: Customer driven. Demonstrates a positive demeanor, good verbal and written communication skills, and a professional appearance and approach. Must have the ability to problem-solve and communicate with a wide variety of people in an effective manner. Must exhibit skills to utilize automated computer systems, including electronic medical records. Keyboarding skills required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records. Fast paced physician practice. Excellent organizational and time management skills.OUR VALUES
