Role Overview:
Leads the Field Analytics and Reporting function for the US Hematology Commercial Analytics Team. Partnering with US Hematology Marketing, Sales, and Matrix Teams, to answer key business questions and identifies business opportunities in the evolving Hematology Marketplace, through analysis of syndicated and BMS-internal data sets.
Key Responsibilities:
Enhancing Business Understanding and Supporting Business Decisions
Enables flawless execution and delivery of Field Reporting and Business Performance metrics for the US Hematology Franchise
Leads the design and implementation of scorecards, dashboards and reports that accurately and effectively communicate the performance of the US Hematology Franchise
Leads regular Subnational / Account Performance reviews with Field leadership team
Partners effectively with Matrix teams, including Sales Ops, Incentive Comp, Market Research, Forecasting, etc. to enable a transparent, inclusive and thought diverse environment of knowledge sharing
Partners with business stakeholders to proactively identify and address priority business performance questions within Brand teams and at the Portfolio level
Develops and maintains a deep understanding of Brand and Portfolio business priorities, meeting agreed upon analytics deliverables / timing
Resolves data quality issues in partnership with the BMS Data Management teams and External Data Vendors
Drives the application of fact-based decision making for key questions within the Brand and Portfolio teams, enabling priority business choices
Provides on-going guidance on Analytical Dashboard by conducting demos and trainings to ensure proper adoption and pull-through of data insights to actions
Assists markets ex-US, when necessary, on Analytics related activities
Advancing Data and Analytics Capabilities
Partners with BI&A Matrix and Data Strategy team to identify, evaluate and recommend relevant KPIs and novel data sources
Coordinates support of Brand, Analytics and Field inquiries and ad-hoc requests related to scorecard and dashboard
Identifies new opportunities to further leverage analytics, data and analytical tools
Collaborates with other members of BI&A to ensure the consistent application of team vision across capabilities and services
Driving Team Productivity and Operational Excellence
Manages and executes workload prioritization across analytics, leveraging other teams within BI&A and across BMS to successfully achieve business objectives
Conducts detailed team walkthroughs and peer review of team’s work to ensure quality, cross training and knowledge management within the team
Ensures consistent adoption of processes and methodologies by Reporting / Analytics Matrix
Understands, demonstrates, and drives adherence to all BMS operating policies
Minimum requirements
BA/BS required, MBA /other graduate degree preferred
5 / 7 years of relevant pharmaceutical/healthcare industry experience
Professional experience in an established performance management field (deriving metrics, creating reports, dashboards & scorecards, etc.)
Demonstrated therapeutic knowledge in Oncology / Hematology
Strong knowledge and Hands-on experience manipulating and interpreting healthcare data (ie: EMR, Claims, Sales, Call Activity, etc.)
Strong Expertise in Dashboarding and Reporting, and experience working with structured/unstructured data
Experience operating successfully in a complex organizational environment
Experience interacting with senior management, understanding, anticipating, and fulfilling their insight/analytical information requirements
Competencies
Ability to draw inferences from disparate data sources, identify key findings, link to implications and provide recommendations in a digestible and business-friendly format
Strong oral/written communications and presentation skills
Proven ability to lead teams and influence cross-functionally in a matrix environment
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with diverse teams across organizational lines and structures
Hands on experiences with data manipulation and visualization tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, SAS, etc.
Proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Suite
