The University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine in Ohio is offering a full-time Interventional Radiology Faculty Position (100% IR) in the Department of Radiology. This position will support the University’s mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities. Ideal candidates will be competent to cover all aspects of vascular and interventional radiology. Fellowship training in interventional radiology is required and subspecialty certification in interventional radiology is desirable.
Job Duties: Responsibilities include staffing at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center (UCMC), West Chester Hospital (WCH) and other UC Health facilities and interventional radiology (IR) service lines. Hospitals are equipped with state-of-the-art IR suites and support PACS and voice recognition dictation. UCMC is a Level 1 Trauma center with an active organ transplant program. There is a dedicated IR Clinic with nursing support. The IR Section staffs an outpatient vein center and clinic. The practice has a robust, formal inpatient consultation service. The IR physicians have an excellent close collaborative relationships with referring services and staff several multidisciplinary conferences per week. The IR Section has 6 full-time faculty members as well as 3 advanced practice providers. Our IR Section has extensive expertise performing more than 8000 procedures annually. The IR faculty is diverse and collaborative with wide ranging have varying areas of clinical focus and research. Academic opportunities exist and are encouraged for candidates with interest in research. All academic ranks (Assistant, Associate, Full Professor) and current IR fellows are encouraged to apply. This position is 100% IR as part of our busy and thriving clinical practice performing a wide range of procedures including interventional oncology, uterine artery embolization, GI/GU intervention, TIPS, venous access, and CT/US guided biopsy, drainages and ablation treatments. The IR Section also has an active inpatient admitting service. UC Radiology offers ACGME-accredited IR Fellowship and Independent IR Residency programs, which are approved for 2 positions/year in addition to rotating diagnostic radiology residents and the ESIR pathway. Responsibilities will include teaching and supervision of fellows, residents, and medical students.
Minimum Requirements: Applicants must be ABR/AOBR certified or eligible and eligible for an Ohio medical license. Rank and Track will be commensurate with experience and credentials of candidate.
