Responsible For Coordinating Westerly Hospital And Lawrence Memorial Hospital Laboratory Quality Assurance Programs. Provides Assistance To Medical Director, Administrative Director, And All Laboratory Staff As Needed, To Promote And Facilitate The Lab And Hospital Qa.

5. 1. Maintain And Update Laboratory Quality Plan
6. 2. Prepare Annual Hospital Quality Council Report
7. 3. Maintain Summaries Of Ongoing Section Quality Assurance Activities
8. 4. Standardize Qa Procedures Throughout The Laboratory
9. 5. Review Occurrence Documentation On An On-Going Basis To Detect Trends And Report Trends Seen In Occurrences To Lab Quality Committee
10. 6. Act As Liaison To Hospital Qa Department
11. 7. Represent The Laboratory On Committees, As Appropriate
12. 8. Work With Lab Section Managers To Maintain Laboratory Quality Indicator Listing
13. 9. Educate Managers On Quality Plan Updates And New/Revised Cap Lab General Checklist Requirements
14. 10. Chairs Clinical Pathology Lab Quality Committees
15. 11. Prepares Minutes For The Clinical Pathology Lab Quality Committees
16. 12. Maintain Schedule For Review Of Lab Policies And Procedures
17. 13. Coordinate Proficiency Testing Lab Wide; Distribute Testing Events And Results To Sections, Track On-Time Review Of Testing Results By Section Manager With Documentation Of Corrective Action, As Appropriate
18. 14. Identifies Own Learning Needs And Resources For Education Of Self
19. 15. Provides Qa Orientation For New Managers
20. 16. Attends Inservice Programs And Outside Educational Programs, As Deemed Necessary
Qualifications
EDUCATION
B.S. Medical Technology, Or Equivalent
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2 Years Actively Working As A Medical Technologist
LICENSURE
Ascp Certification (Or Eligible) Required
SPECIAL SKILLS
Must Possess Exceptional Organizational Skills, And Be Able To Prioritize And Multitask
