Description
Portfolio Management Lead collaborates with enterprise IT teams to ensure TLM execution aligns with technology portfolios and roadmaps; and works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
Responsibilities
Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) aligns with and delivers on our IT Strategy by driving agility and delivering greater business value through timely technology adoption with a focus on ability to stay current and assess status within the lifecycle of vendor supplied third party technology, including Cloud providers.
This lead role is focused on the overall technology lifecycle initiative execution and adherence to TLM processes while driving remediation efforts towards the define end-of-life date (EoL). Organizes and prioritizes projects and programs based on IT Strategy, strategic roadmap, available and prioritized budgets, and changes schedules in support of those goals. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues, requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
Key Responsibilities include:
Align with lifecycle program strategy to ensure adherence to technology adoption
Responsible for execution of lifecycle initiatives in alignment with end-of-life timelines
Ensure execution team members, integrated or matrixed, understand and follow TLM processes and procedures
Train execution team members on TLM standards, processes, and procedures
Document and coordinate review of statuses, issues and risks for all impacted applications across in-flight technology lifecycle initiatives
Ensures executive data is as accurately aligned with IT teams communicated progress and metrics on TLM initiatives
Research and respond to lifecycle initiative questions, while providing consistent guidance to IT Owners impacted by the initiative
Identify and track TLM exceptions/escalations and oversee execution team members support of IT owners through actionable progress
Facilitate necessary meetings to drive execution progress, exceptions and escalations
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Strong verbal and written communication skills at multiple levels of leadership and associates
2 years designing and documenting policy standards, strategic processes, and operational procedures
Demonstrated experience leading teams, including in a matrixed environment
Program/Project Management experience overseeing multiple large scale projects
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Motivated self-starter and ability to work in a team environment
Ability to work well under pressure to meet compressed deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, or minimum of 5 years of related experience
Experience with technology lifecycle and asset portfolio management
Experience in the health insurance industry and/or in information technology
Reporting Relationship: This position will report to the Director of Technology Lifecycle Management
