Responsibilities
Conviva Care Solutions is seeking a hard-working and dedicated Ultrasound Technician to perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative and applies his/her judgment to produce necessary documentation for interpretation for the prescribed exam .
Job Functions
Bi-lingual English & Spanish required; must be able to read, write and speak English and Spanish
Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative.
Will apply his/her judgment to produce necessary documentation for interpretation for the ordered exam.
Follow all protocols outlined by the Radiologist.
Assumes responsibility for the cleanliness of the examination room, workstations and equipment.
Will be flexible and understanding with patients.
Will consult with physician/radiologist when encountering the need of immediate medical attention for the patient.
Will initiate the transmission for STAT or Urgent exams for interpretations.
Will ensure that proper levels of stock inventory of related supplies are maintained.
Will keep abreast of new procedures, techniques and applications.
Responsible for continuing education and professional development.
Assures that all exams are completed for interpretation prior to leaving the center.
Consult with Diagnostic Administrator in matters of scheduling, work methods and other related issues.
Advises administration personnel of any problems with the equipment.
Check the PACs system on a daily basis and make sure that all images have successfully passed.
Follow HIPAA regulations at all times.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Completion of Ultrasound Technology Training at an accredited school
A.R.D.M.S (AB BR OB/GYN) RVT (VT) RDCS (AE)
CPR-BLS Certificate preferred
Previous experience in a diagnostic facility or hospital
Must have good knowledge of ultrasound equipment and techniques
Customer Service Skills & Training
HIPAA testing required
Working hours
: Monday to Friday 8AM-5PM
