The Early Asset Lead will be responsible for working independently, with appropriate input from the Executive Director, to provide commercial input into discovery and early development plans for new assets from GT1 (Go to full discovery) to GT5 (Go to full development). The lead will collaborate with early development teams aligned to Thematic Research Centers (TRCs) to provide input into asset and above asset strategies. The role will report to Executive Director, Early Asset, Hematology within the Hematology marketing department.
Responsibilities include:
Providing commercial input into vision and strategic fit of asset within Hematology Strategy
Prioritizing business opportunities and developing target opportunity profiles to guide development decisions
Sizing asset potential and partnering with Business Insights & Analytics to develop forecast (depending on stage of asset)
Providing commercial input into potential development paths based on unmet need, competitive intensity, and size of opportunity
Aligning with Hematology Disease Strategy Teams to ensure pipeline assets are optimized within the Tumor and Portfolio Strategy
Partnering with Early Development team and discovery TRCs on above-asset discussions / strategies
Ensuring commercial considerations regarding CMC activities are aligned with the asset and disease strategy
Required Skills/Knowledge:
BS/BA or equivalent required; an advanced scientific degree preferred
6-10 years of experience in biopharmaceutical field
Global marketing experience required
A unique blend of scientific acumen with demonstrated commercial competencies
Experience in mobilizing matrix team members, embracing teamwork and driving results within a cross functional environment
Experience partnering with R&D required
Demonstrated strategic and analytical agility with regard to market research, competitive data collection analysis, financial analysis and crystallization of key business insights
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
