The Optometry Programme, within the School of Health Professions at the University of Plymouth, is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our postgraduate group and be part of our teaching and research activities. Our MSc Advanced Clinical Practice in Ophthalmology was approved in 2022 and our first cohort of students started in September 2022. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our postgraduate team. We are currently delivering first year modules in medical retina, glaucoma, acute eyecare, cataract and leadership in advancing practice. This role would involve developing advanced clinical modules, clinical education, research and to expand our clinical modules offer. You will work as part of the Optometry team to provide innovative teaching including; the design and preparation of teaching materials, course planning and delivery, and assessment. We are proud to be ranked as one of the top programmes for student satisfaction in the most recent National Student Survey in our undergraduate programme. Please note, it is typical for applicants with no prior lecturing experience to start towards the lower end of the advertised scale.
