Description
The Behavioral Health Strategy Lead (Behavioral Health Coordinator) shall have responsibility for clinical program development and oversight of staff and services related to the delivery of covered mental health and addiction services to children/youth, adults with serious mental illness and/or with substance use disorders in compliance with federal and state laws and the requirements set forth in the Contract. This role is based in the state of Louisiana.
Responsibilities
Manages Humana Healthy Horizon's in Louisiana specialized BH services delivery system in coordination with the BH Medical Director.
Regularly reviews integration performance, network adequacy, performance improvement projects, and surveys related to integration.
Utilizes a holistic member approach to guide and influence program features and offerings that ultimately impact the member's behaviors and choices.
Assists in the development and implementation of comprehensive case management programs for Louisiana's youth and adult BH population.
Advocates for members and their families to ensure their needs and choices are fully represented and supported by the BH team in a timely and appropriate manner.
Influences and assists corporate leadership in development of strategies and plans to achieve desired BH outcomes.
Ensures compliance with accreditation standards, contract and CMS requirements
Shall work closely with the Performance/Quality Improvement Coordinator, Behavioral Health Network Director, Quality Management Coordinator, and Behavioral Health Quality Management Coordinator to ensure quality requirements and targets are adhered to throughout the BH delivery system.
Assists the community engagement and provider relations teams in providing a BH perspective for meetings and events with community organizations, provider groups, and advisory councils.
Required Qualifications
Unrestricted Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP); Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family therapist (LMFT), Licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), Licensed Rehabilitation Counselor (LRC), Licensed psychologist or Medical psychologist.
Minimum seven (7) years of experience in managing behavioral healthcare operations.
Must reside in the state of Louisiana.
Intermediate to advance proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
Demonstrated ability to run large scale, highly visible programs with responsibility for multiple teams.
Experience in problem solving and consultation within complex environments.
Strong influencing and process improvement skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and deliver presentations to senior leaders.
This role is a part of Humana's Driver Safety program and therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100,000/300,000/100,000 limits.
Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field. Every associate and contractor who work inside a Humana facility or in the field, regardless of vaccination status, must complete a daily health screening questionnaire.
Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office.
A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with participating in audits, accreditation, and ability to read and understand contract requirements.
Experience serving Medicaid, TANF, and/or CHIP populations.
Experience providing direct care services.
Additional Information
Workstyle: Hybrid Home - 1 - 2days/week in office (Metairie or Baton Rouge, LA) and 3 - 4 days remotely.
Travel: Up to 30% within the state of Louisiana.
Direct Reports: up to 6 Associates.
